Full-face Protection Now Available with X-Shield by Raygear

Eagle Safety Eyewear announced that it now carries the X-Shield by Raygear, a new product that provides UVA, UVB and safety protection for the entire face.

"The X-Shield represents a whole new level of protection," said Robert Abend, National Sales Manager/LDO for Eagle Safety Eyewear. "Now, instead of providing protection for just the eyes, we have a product that protects the whole face from hazardous airborne products, flying debris, and more."

The X-Shield meets all ANSI Z87.1-2003 and CAN/CSA standards for impact resistance and shatter-proofing. It also provides 99.9% UVA and UVB sun protection. These specifications make it appropriate for both business and consumer uses, including a variety of manufacturing and medical jobs and do-it-yourself-based tasks at home.

One potential obstacle to the X-Shield's broad acceptance was comfort and fit, but the light weight and vented design minimizes neck fatigue, breathing issues and sweating. It is also designed to fit easily over prescription eyewear.

"It's hard to believe at this size, but it wears as easily as a pair of sunglasses," added Abend. "It's truly an amazing product."

The X-Shield is currently available in clear and smoke colors, and in vented and non-vented designs.
